Learn Indian Kathak Dance

The origin of Kathak is traditionally attributed to the traveling bards in ancient northern India known as Kathakars or storytellers. The gestures, movement and rhythm tell the story. Cyenthia Vijayakumar is a trained Kathak dancer from Bangalore, India. She is the artistic director of Aarambh — Indian Dance School in Milwaukee.
